OFF-NIGHT REPERTORY (bios)

BRUCE McGUIRE

was last heard at The English Theatre of Rome speaking an impeccable Australian accent in David Williams' "Brilliant Lies". Prior to that he was sounding very much like a native New Yorker in the role of Lieutenant Shrank for the Gothenburg Opera (of Sweden) production of "West Side Story" at the Teatro Brancaccio. In addition to his innumerable accents, he has also sung the lead in the musical "She Loves Me" at the Teatro Flaiano. Bruce was last seen on Italian Television side by side with Ed Asner, in the shoes of Norman Cousins in the RAI TV miniseries "Papa Giovanni XII∞. Among his many film credits, one of the funniest experiences was working with director Tim Burton on "Batman" interpreting the wacky role of the disintegrating anchorman of the Gotham City Action News.
