has appeared regularly with The English Theatre of Rome since 1997, initially in its one- act seasons and latterly in full-length plays. These have included: Death in the Park, End of the Road, Homeward Bound, The Proposal, Brilliant Lies, A Meeting in Rome, The Gin Game, No Man's Land, The Birthday Party and Proof. Other theatre appearances in Rome have included Fagin in Oliver!, Jerry in Betrayal, Coward in Cowardy Custard, Sidney in California Suite, Throbbing in Habeus Corpus, Quartermaine in Quartermaine's Terms, Danforth in The Crucible, Philips in Our Country's Good, and Jonathan in Arsenic and Old Lace. Shakespearian roles have included Baptista, Sir John Falstaff, Leonato, Alonso, Starvelling and Malvolio. He has also directed Address Unknown for The English Theatre of Rome as well as Alan Bennett's Talking Heads, The Real Inspector Hound, Art and Waiting for the Parade.
